Vodafone To Offer Android Mobiles On Pay As You Go
![]() |
The latest news circulating the web suggests that Vodafone will be releasing a number of Android smartphones on Pay As You Go.
The mobiles will be at the lower end of the scale so that the prices are still reasonable. Likely candidates include the HTC Wildfire (pictured above), which is a value Android mobile that runs on Android 2.1. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini is also a great candidate, which currently runs on Android 1.6 but will be upgraded to 2.1 soon.
The move is a nice idea because many people aren't happy with taking out contracts, especially since the operators seem to be insisting on 24 month deals.
