Skype Now Available For Android Mobiles

Skype have announced that they have released a version of its software for Android mobiles.
The Android version of Skype will run on all mobiles running version 2.1 or later and will enable Android users to make Skype calls over Wi-Fi or mobile connections (3G, GPRS and EDGE).
The application is available to download right now from the Android market.
Skype for Android enables users to make free Skype-To-Skype calls from their Android mobiles to anywhere in the world wtith excellent CD-like quality. Users can also make low rate Skype calls to landline or mobile phones.
Skype also doubles as an instant messenger which enables you to send and receive messages to individuals or groups of friends. You can easily see when Skype contacts are online and start a chat with them.
Skype also enables you to easily import names and numbers from your mobiles address book and synchronize contacts between the two.
It's a neat application that can save you a lot of money, especially if you live on the other side of the world from your close family because you can make free calls from anywhere !
