Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Wave II (GT S8530) which is a high-end smartphone that runs on Samsung's own Bada operating system.
The mobile features a 3.7 inch "Super Clear" LCD display, which is supposed to be even clearer than AMOLED screens and is also scratch-resistant, anti-reflective and smudge-proof.
The Wave II is powered by a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor and comes with 2GB of onboard memory which can be upgraded by up to 32GB with external microSD cards. A 5 mega-pixel camera is also present which doubles to record HD 720p video. Other features include an FM radio and a 3.5 mm headphone socket to use your own headphones.
The Samsung Wave II runs on the latest version of Bada which is 1.2 , which has a social hub that enables you to view all your contacts from multiple sources (email, social networks, messenger and more) into one list. It also supports QuickType, which enables you to type faster by passing your finger over the virtual keyboard rather than pressing it.
The Samsung Wave II will launch in December and so far no price or network carries have been confirmed.
