Samsung Drops Symbian Support Service

Symbian has recently lost a couple of highly significant mobile phone manufacturers. Firstly, on 28thSeptember this year, Sony Ericsson was stated as not to be making any new mobiles with the Symbian OS on-board. Sony Ericsson currently has two Symbian smartphones within its portfolio. More here.
Then secondly, on 1stOctober this year, Samsung confirmed it was dropping Symbian from its future plans. At that time we wrote that Samsung is removing its developer support for the Symbian operating system. More here.

30-12-2010 - Symbian Forum Closes
31-12-2010 - Symbian Content Removed
The mass of Symbian's business for its OS comes via Nokia and this has recently been reinforced between the two parties by the launch of Symbian^3 and the next OS Symbian^4 which is being developed.
