Samsung Drop Symbian OS

Samsung has announced that they are removing its developer support for the Symbian operating system.
The developer program run by Samsung will be closing at the end of October and the Forum will go down at the end of the year. Consequently , any developers wanting to submit a Symbian application to Samsungs App Store should do so before the end of the year.
Samsung launched the developer program so that its customers weren't driven into contact with Nokia, who are a major competitor to the Korean mobile manufacturer.
The move is a reaction to the imminent launch of Windows Phone 7, which Samsung is going to support and put in its mobiles. However, Samsung hasn't ruled out producing another Symbian mobile, but we guess it won't be featuring on any of its premium handsets.
