INQ To Make Spotify Smartphones
![]() |
INQ, the handset manufacturer, has announced they are working on integrating Spotify into its mobile phones.
INQ stormed onto the scene when it launched the INQ Facebook mobiles, which were exclusive to the UK operator Three. Since then they've continued to make mobiles that aim to offer social networking at budget prices.
Spotify is a great music service that gives you access to over 10 million tracks which you can listen to on your mobile at any time , create playlists and share your tastes with friends. With the premium Spotify service you can download songs to listen to when you arn't online.
The INQ CEO stated in an interview with Business Week that they are "developing phones that make it easier for owners to use spotify". This has been interpreted that INQ will be developing a spotify branded mobile, which would be great ! It's also possible that they will just be developing phones with a Spotify app, but that's not all that newsworthy and isn't the INQ way.
Once we hear more about the Spotify mobile from INQ we'll let you know.
