HTC Desire Android 2.2 Update Coming Tommorow On Three
![]() |
The HTC Desire will be updated to Android 2.2 by Three tomorrow.
The network confirmed that they will be launching the update on Thursday 14th October at 9am on their Twitter page. We can only assume that this means it will be going out over the air at this time and that it could well be staggered, which means some people may have to wait longer than others.
The update to the popular Android handset was confirmed in August, but took some time to appear and came out on Orange and Vodafone at the end of September.
Android 2.2 brings a number of improvements with the most significant being the ability to create a personal WiFi network , install applications to a microSD card and a general performance increase.
The update improves an already excellent phone which has proven to be one of HTC's most successful smartphones.
