Firefox 4 Beta for Android and Maemo has been released by Mozilla and is available to download for free now. Of course, Firefox 4 Beta for Android and Maemo is optimised for Android and Maemo browsers and comes with Firefox PC features like the Awesome bar, Firefox Sync and Add-ons.
Mozilla say that Firefox 4 Beta for Android and Maemo has been developed with performance and responsiveness in mind. An important change is in the area of Electrolysis which allows the browser interface to run in a separate process from the one rendering Web content.
Another key change is for Layers pieces which improve overall performance and in graphics areas such as scrolling, zooming and animations.
New features include pinch-to-zoom, which is now supported on multitouch-capable devices and Awesome Screen, which instantly gives you access to your recent history, bookmarks and tabs.
