The BlackBerry Storm was leaked late last month and then earlier this week was rumoured to be cancelled.
Reports had suggested that BlackBerry had cancelled the mobile at the development stage, but it seems the device is now back on.
The BlackBerry Storm 3 is now thought to be back in production and will feature the new BlackBerry OS QNX based operating system. The new operating system debuted on the BlackBerry Playback, which is the Blackberry Internet tablet.
QNX is a Unix-based operating system which breaks tasks down into smaller parts called servers, which enables even more efficient selection of processes and improved speed. It will also enable even more efficient multi-tasking and features full Adobe Flash support. BlackBerry are claiming that QNX will be able to do everything Apple's iOS can and even more.
No details are known about the BlackBerry Storm 3 itself, apart from the original rumours which suggested it would have a 3.7 inch touch-screen, 8GB of on-board memory and Wi-Fi sharing support.
Once we hear more we'll let you know.
