UK : 3, the UK mobile phone operator, have announced its Mobile Wi-Fi (MiFi) is now available on 18 month contracts.
Until now Mobile Wi-Fi was only available on a 1 month rolling contract.
In case you didn’t read our earlier press release about Mi-Fi, it enables you to share your mobile broadband connection with multiple devices. In essence you create your own personal Wi-Fi network.
In order to use Mi-Fi you need a new “wireless modem”, which is very small and highly portable. It’s compatible with countless devices, including laptops, mobiles, iPhones, gaming devices such as PSP and more.
Three have now added two 18 month contract options, differentiated on data allowance. The first package has 1GB of data allowance per month and costs just £12 a month. It’s perfect for light-users and we can see it being hugely popular!
The second package includes 5GB data allowance a month and costs £17 a month, which is a perfect package for all but the heaviest internet users.
