3G Player Acquired

WatchMark Corp announced it has acquired Stockholm-based Locomotive Mobile International AB (LMI), a provider of performance management software and services to wireless network service providers.

The acquisition of LMI by WatchMark strengthens WatchMark's service assurance solutions expertise and presence in Europe, directly supports some of its most important strategic partners and customers and brings complementary wireless performance management products into WatchMark's family of service assurance solutions.

LMI has proven expertise in GSM/GPRS and WCDMA based third-generation networks and has worked intimately with the 3G-license application process for winning bids as well as the subsequent network planning, vendor selection, network management and build up of several of the license grantees. LMI has established itself as one of the leading performance management UMTS/3G experts in Europe.

The company has built innovative features into its core performance management offering, PAM Pi, which are complementary to WatchMark Prospect(R). WatchMark will incorporate PAM Pi into its product line.

LMI will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of WatchMark and will operate under the WatchMark brand name. LMI employees, all of whom have accepted positions with WatchMark, will continue to operate out of Stockholm delivering consulting, development and integration support to partners and customers to complement and enhance sales, customer support, and R&D resources at WatchMark's European headquarters in St. Alban's, UK.
