Earlier this week we brought you news about the LG Optimus G2 and now we've got even more details about LG's premium Android smartphone.
The LG Optimus G2 will launch in May according to new information being reported by MK Business News. The source of the leak is someone very familiar with the Korean giant and sits well with the previous information , which suggested that the Optimus G2 would launch in the first half of next year.
So what else do we know about the LG Optimus G2 ? Well, firstly we know it's aiming to take on Samsung's Galaxy S4 , so it'll be a high-end Android smartphone with all the bells and whistles.
The leaks have suggested that it'll have a stunning 5 inch touch-screen running at full HD (1920*1080 pixels), which gives it a PPI (pixels per inch) rating of 440. To put that into perspective it'll be 1.5 times clearer than the iPhone 5's Retina display.
LG's Optimus G will be powered by a 2 GHz quad-core processor which should provide more than enough power to run Android Key Lime Pie (5.0). Android 5.0 will be the next version of Google's operating system and we're sure it'll include some innovative new features !
The only other thing we can be sure of at this time is that the Optimus G2 will support 4G. That opens up the possibility for it to be available from EE, although sadly the other operators won'tl have launched their 4G networks in time for the launch of the Optimus G2.
3G will keep you updated on all the new information that surfaces about the LG Optimus G2 and any other next-generation smartphone !
