Huawei Ascend W3 - 4G Windows Phone 8 Smartphone Leaked

By Simon Thomas on 19th November 2012

Huawei have fully embraced 4G and already offer a number of devices on EE including the Huawei Ascend P1 LTE, which is a 4G Android smartphone. Now it looks like they are releasing a 4G Windows Phone 8 mobile !

A new leak, reported by Knowyourmobile, gave details and images of a new smartphone called the Huawei Ascend W3. The smartphone is a larger version of the Huawei Ascend W1, which is also runs on Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 platform.

The Ascend W3 will have a 4.5 inch touch-screen and the whole device will be just 10mm thick. The case itself has a metallic appearance , but our instincts tell us it's made of plastic. The design is pretty standard but stylish enough not to look out of place next to other modern smartphones.

A couple of other facts about the smartphone can be gleaned from the pictures including that it'll have an 8 mega-pixel rear-facing camera. Furthermore, a 4G logo is displayed on the screen which opens up the possibility for it be available on EE's 4G LTE network in the UK !

As soon as 3G hear anymore about the Huawei Ascend W3 or its smaller brother the Ascend W1 we'll let you know !
