The Spotify application is now available to download for Windows Phone Mango (7.5) smartphones.
Previously , the Spotify application was only available on Windows Phone 6.5, but now thats all changed. Microsoft worked closely with Spotify in developing the application for its operating system so its visual appearance differs slightly from other versions.
Spotify is a streaming music service that enables you to stream from millions of tracks on your mobile. However, you'll need to buy a premium account in order to really benefit the most from the service.
The premium service costs £9.99 per month and enables you to download up to 3,333 tracks that can be accessed offline , as well as unlimited streaming from the Spotify library. Streaming is possible over WiFi and 3G and Spotify is also a social experience because you can send tracks to a friend and check what they are listening to.
With Nokia's Windows smartphones launching this month there couldn't have been a better time for Spotify to make its application available.
You can download Spotify from the Windows Marketplace free on all phones running on Windows Phone 7.5 or later.
