With the Samsung Galaxy SII selling a huge amount world-wide and the Galaxy SIII already leaked online it would be easy for Samsung to forget where it all started.

However, they are releasing an Android update for the original Samsung Galaxy S which will be coming to Three in January. Three confirmed on its Twitter account that the Galaxy S would be upgraded to Android 2.3.6 at the start of next year.

Three haven't released the 2.3.4 update for Galaxy S and just the other day the 2.3.5 update launched. Three are claiming that they are going to skip the previous updates and go straight to Android 2.3.6 , because it brings more fixes than the previous versions.

3G wonders whether this could be the last Android update we see on the Samsung Galaxy S, because the launch of Ice Cream Sandwich will no doubt shift Google's priorities.
