Android Market

Google has launched a new version of the Android Market which is now available to download over-the-air (OTA). Version 3.3.11 of the app store brings a number of new features to the already excellent service.

The first of which is that you can choose to update all of your applications and games automatically in one place, which saves having to manage them all separately. An even more crucial addition is the option to select to only update applications over WiFi, so you don't incur heavy data charges on your smartphone.

Another novel addition is the option to automatically add shortcuts for new applications to your home-screen, so you can easily find them !

The user-interface has also been improved with a slightly smaller font used so you can fit more on a single screen. They've also added a new graphs feature for app ratings which enables you to see an applications score in more detail.

You should be able to download the update OTA and if you've enabled automatic updates you should be prompted automatically. However, if you don't see the update 3G recommends you open up the Android Market in order to start the update.
