The Acer Allegro , which is already available in France, is coming to the UK next month.

Infact, online retailer Expansys has added Acer's first Windows smartphone to their store with the launch date listed as December 1st.

The Acer Allegro is a mid-range Windows smartphone that features a 3.6 inch WVGA touch-screen and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. Onboard memory comes in at 8GB, whilethe Allegro also has a 5 mega-pixel camera with LED Flash.

One desirable feature of the Acer Allegro is that it comes pre-loaded with Windows Phone Mango, which gives it one advantage over similarly specced older Windows smartphones.

Expansys have priced the Acer Allegro at £259.99, which seems like a high-price for what you get. The guys at 3G wouldn't be at all surprised to see the price reduced closer to the launch date.
