SkyFire Bring Flash Support To iPhone
Skyfire has had their browser approved by Apple and it's now available to download from the App Store. It's currently only available in the US and costs $2.99 (£1.87).
The new browser is the first application approved by Apple that is capable of displaying Flash content.
With the Skyfire browser you can browse Flash websites and view Flash content on your iPhone, which isn't supported out of the box because Apple doesn't support Flash as it thinks its an unnecessary battery drain.
The Skyfire browser works by first converting the Flash features into HTML5 and then sending the final outcome to your iPhone. It's a very clever workaround and one which should open a huge amount of new content to iPhone users.
We assume the browser will launch in the UK very soon and look forward to testing it out !
