Samsung Galaxy S Froyo Update Now Available
![]() |
Samsung has now begun rolling out Android 2.2 for its Samsung Galaxy S smartphone.
The Froyo update was originally announced at the end of October , but Samsung have had some delay in adapting it to work with its Wiz UI. Originally, the update will only be available to SIM-Free versions of the mobile while the operators customize their own versions of the update.
The Android 2.2 update brings a number of improvements including the ability to use your phone to create Wi-Fi networks, full Adobe Flash 10.1 support , the capability to install applications on a microSD card as well as Google Maps with Voice navigation.
In order to download the update users will have to download the latest version of Samsungs update software Kies. The update can then be downloaded and installed and we recommend you do it over WiFi because its a large update.
The Samsung Galaxy S is a great smartphone that has a 4 inch touch-screen, 5 mega-pixel camera, 1 GHZ Snapdragon processor, 16GB of onboard memory and full Wi-Fi and 3G support.
