Nokia To Launch An Internet Tablet
![]() |
Nokia are considering releasing a rival to the Apple iPad (pictured above) in response to the success the Californian company's device has had.
The information was suggested by amoinfo .com who quoted Nokia's executive vice president Niklas Savander saying "We are always eyeing what I would call the 'neighbouring businesses' to see if it would make sense for us to enter it".
The move would follow a number of other manufacturers into the tablet sphere with the most noticeable smartphone producer being Samsung , with its Samsung Galaxy Tablet.
Nokia have already released some devices very similar to an internet tablet in the past such as the Nokia N900 and N810 , so it wouldn't be a radical departure for the company.
We'd be interested to see what operating system the new Nokia tablet would run on and it's possible that Meego could be the answer.
Once we hear more about the possible release of a Nokia Internet Tablet we'll let you know.
