Sony Ericsson is preparing to update the software for the Sony Ericsson X10 to include multi-touch and pinch zoom. This is as a result of user feedback to Sony Ericsson. Additionally, Sony Ericsson say this a key feature of Android 2.1.

Looking at the video the pinch zoom update is shown in action. Also, a game demo of Angry Birds shows the zoom feature in action.

Expect to see a software update for the Sony Ericsson X10 in Q1 2011 ( Jan to March ) next year when X10 users will get multi-touch and pinch zoom capabilities.
