Dell has announced on their Facebook page that the Dell Streak will be receiving an Android 2.2 update before the end of the month.

The new update will be rolled out over the air and  the UK being the first country to receive the download. Dell have stated that their may be some delays in the roll-out in different parts of the country , so don't be alarmed if your update doesn't appear until December.

The Android 2.2 update will bring a number of improvements over version 1.6 , which the Dell Streak currently runs on. Overall performance will be improved , Flash 10.1 support will be added and you will also be able to use your Dell Streak as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
