UK : The iPhone 3GS is bringing 3G networks to a standstill, or at least that’s what the News of the World states yesterday.
The massive increase in smart-phone usage, led the by iPhone 3GS, has put so much strain on 3G networks that they are at breaking point.
The number of people browsing the internet and streaming vides on their smartphones has increased exponentially in recent months.
In recent months O2, who previously had exclusivity of the iPhone 3GS, have spent over ½ billion upgrading their network to cope with the increase data usage.
Vodafone have also been experiencing blackouts on their network and one feels that with the iPhone 3GS becoming available on Vodafone in the New Year it will only get worse.
You can buy the iPhone 3GS from O2 here or from Orange here.
