Orange Pushes Its 3G Network to the Tune of 4 Million Pounds
3rd November , 2009
UK : Orange UK wants to let everyone know that its 3G network is more extensive than anyone else’s. To make sure the UK is aware of this it’s spending 4 million pounds to promote this fact.
Orange UK will run a new advertising campaign called 'You're Covered' during November to the middle of December.
The theme of the campaign will be to emphasise the fact that the Orange network covers over 93 percent of the UK population, which is greater than any other UK 3G network.
We at 3G.co.uk, think its no strange coincidence that Orange has put the Apple iPhone 3Gs on sale as from the 10th November. The advertising campaign for Orange’s 3G network will surely help Orange and its staff in iPhone 3Gs sales as we head towards the Xmas.
The adverts play on the idea that no matter who you are or what you are doing, you are likely to be covered by Orange’s 3G network. The advertising campaign will run in print and outdoors from November to the middle of December, appearing across train stations, buses, digital panels, in airports and shopping malls.
The adverts include captions in Orange’s signature black and orange branding which talk to ‘the lady with the high heels in her bag,’ ‘you with the headphones’ or ‘you with the big smile’ and all end in the phrase ‘you’re covered.’ The adverts are designed to grab people’s attention by saying things like ‘hey you, yes, you, you’re covered.’’
