US : Samsung Telecommunications America and Cingular Wireless announced the launch of the Cingular SYNC, Samsung's newest High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) phone with advanced music and multimedia capabilities.

Exclusive to Cingular, the SYNC is a feature-rich, slim, flip phone that harnesses the broadband-like data speeds of Cingular's HSDPA network, providing instant access to the new Cingular Music service, as well as Cingular Video. With features such as external touch sensitive multimedia keys, MP3 player, microSD(TM) memory card slot and Bluetooth(R) 2.0 with stereo headset support, the Cingular SYNC(TM) from Samsung is an ideal device for entertainment and media.

The Cingular SYNC(TM) from Samsung features a new, one-touch Cingular Music key, identified by a music icon. With one simple click, users are immediately connected to Cingular Music -- a one-stop shop for everything music on the handset. This new service offers the widest selection of mobile music content in the industry today, including integration with leading subscription music stores.

Cingular's 3G network provides average download data speeds between 400- 700 kilobits per second with bursts to over one megabit. The company currently provides 3G services in more than 118 cities (with populations of 100 thousand of more) in and around 54 major markets in 28 states plus the District of Columbia.
