HTC only announced the One Mini 2 a couple of weeks ago, but it's now available to buy in the UK and those who place their order today could have the smartphone on their doorstep the very next day.
Currently you can pickup the Grey version of HTC's smartphone on EE, Vodafone, O2, Carphone Warehouse and Phones 4U.
Those wanting the Gold version only have one choice because it's exclusive to EE, while the Silver version is available to pre-order from select retailers (Phones4U and Carphone Warehouse), but isn't due to come into stock until the middle of next month at the earliest.
There are a wide range of plans on offer and we'll now look at the cheapest deals being offered by retailers and operators with a presence on the UK high street to ensure our readers get the best value for money. Whether you want the phone on a pay monthly plan or want to by it outright you should find something that suits your needs.
The Carphone Warehouse are offering the Grey HTC One Mini 2 free on plans starting at £25 a month. That's on a Vodafone 3G plan with 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 250MB of data and is the lowest priced 3G plan currently available.
Their cheapest 4G plan, which is also currently the cheapest available in the UK, bags you the smartphone free with unlimited minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of data on O2 for £28 a month and you also get £50 automatic cashback. That makes it cheaper than the same tariff from O2 direct, but the only way to enjoy the flexibility offered by O2 Refresh is from O2 themselves.
Cheapest 3G tariff with free phone: £25 a month on Vodafone (total cost of £600 over 24 month contract)
Cheapest 4G tariff with free phone: £28 a month on O2 with £50 automatic cashback (total cost of £622 over 24 month contract)
The HTC One Mini 2 is available exclusively in Gold from EE and they are also offering the Grey version of the smartphone. Both are available free on plans starting from £29.99 a month with 1000 minutes, unlimited texts and 1GB of 4G data on a 24 month contract.
That's a total cost of £719.86 over the duration of the contract, which is bit more expensive than the other deals on offer, but as an added bonus you do get 2 for 1 cinema tickets and pizza every Wednesday with EE and Pizza Express. EE also have the biggest and fastest network and are the only option if you want the Gold version of HTC's smartphone.
Cheapest 4G tariff with free phone: 29.99 a month (total cost of £719.86 over 24 month contract)
On O2 you can get the Grey version of the HTC One Mini 2 free on O2 Refresh plans starting at £28 a month. That gets you 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of 4G data a 24 month contract. As part of the package you'll also get exclusive offers and priority tickets (at the O2 Arena and more) from O2 Priority.
The total cost of £672 makes it neither the cheapest or most expensive deal available, but it is on an O2 Refresh plan meaning you get more flexibility to upgrade your smartphone over the course of the contract because plans are broken down into separate "Device" and "Airtime" plans.
Cheapest 4G tariff with free phone: £28 a month (total cost of £672 over 24 month contract).
Phones4U are out priced on their lowest 3G plans by the Carphone Warehouse and their lowest priced 4G plan is identical to the one being offered by EE directly. Therefore, we'd advise you look to elsewhere unless you are considering EE's plan because you would get the smartphone unlocked with Phones4U.
Three and Vodafone have already confirmed they'll be stocking the HTC One Mini 2, but it's yet to become available on either network. As soon as it does we'll be sure to let you know.
The cheapest place to pickup the HTC One Mini 2 on Pay As You Go is from Phones 4U where it's available in Grey or Silver for £349.95 (+£10 top-up) on either the Vodafone, T-Mobile or Orange networks. And they also offer it for the lowest-priced SIM-free at £359.95.< Back
