Sky Go launched on selected Android smartphones back in February and Sky have now announced it'll be coming to a number of Android 4.0 smartphones in the next couple of weeks.
Sky Go enables users to watch live TV on their Android smartphones, as well as catch-up with shows they've missed. The service is also available for Apple devices and is free to existing Sky subscribers , but can also be subscribed to seperately.
Sky Go is currently already available on the HTC Desire, HTC Desire S, HTC Desire HD, HTC Incredible S, HTC Sensation, Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Galaxy S2. Sky have now confirmed its in testing for the Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note and other Android 4.0 smartphones. The application is expected to launch on these devices in the next couple of weeks !
Sky also stated that the reason they can't rollout Sky Go onto all Android smartphones at once is that they all have different screen resolutions and media players. Furthermore, any device with a HDMI-out can't get the Sky Go application because it would break broadcasting rules.
