Vodafone have announced that they are putting mobile phone chargers in London Black Taxi Cabs.

Vodafone will be putting the chargers in 500 special Vodafone-branded cabs and they will be easily identifiable by the Union Jack design they will feature.

It's a neat idea from Vodafone and makes up part of a new advertising strategy to reflect the new network upgrades they have done in the city. 

Vodafone are also now supporting the payment of taxi fares via your mobile phone. You can text the license number of the taxi you're in to a special number and the Taxi fare will be billed to your mobile, which is a great idea for when you can't get cash.

So those without cash or with a low phone battery should look out for the Union Jack taxis driving around !
