Motorola Atrix Coming Soon To T-Mobile

The Motorola Atrix is a powerhouse smartphone that resembles a device that would be used by James Bond. Not only does it have fingerprint recognition technology, but it can also be plugged into a number of docks that expand the phones features.

The docks available include a laptop dock, which has a 11.6 inch screen,  full keyboard, trackpad and an internal battery. Additionally, a "Work and Play" dock is available which includes a remote control, mouse, keyboard and HD multimedia dock.

The Motorola Atrix itself is a powerhouse smartphone that has 4 inch touch-screen,dual-core 1 GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and a 5 mega-pixel camera. Additional features include a front-facing VGA camera, HDMI-port, 3G and WiFI connectivity and it runs on the Android operating system (2.2).

The Motorola Atrix is exclusive to Orange and T-Mobile who are now effectively one company. However, that doesn't stop T-Mobile offering the cheaper tariff options with the Atrix available free on a contract costing £35.75 a month.  This deal gets you 900 minutes, 500 texts , 500MB of mobile data and choice of one of T-Mobiles "Flexible Boosters".

The Flexible Boosters include a choice of unlimited texts,  unlimited calls to other T-mobile customers, unlimited landline call and an internet booster.

T-Mobile are also offering the Atrix with the "Work and Play" dock for £40.75 a month. You can also pickup the Work and Play dock on it's own for £129 , while the laptop dock is also avaiable for £299. We can't help feel the prices of both docks is way too high and wonder how Motorola expect it to prove succesful at these price points.

The Motorola Atrix is due to become available from T-Mobile in June, which could be as early as tommorow.
