Spotify has updated its iPhone Spotify Application to bring it line with the PC desktop version. Spotify offers a music streamimg service for the iPhone via its iPhone Spotify App which is now updated to Version 0.4.5. This can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.

Basically, there are four new additions to the iPhone Spotify App and these are primarily new social features which have already launched on the PC version and now they arrive on the mobile version. These are :

• Facebook and Twitter sharing use in-app browser rather than opening Safari
• The new Inbox to received tracks from friends has been added
• The app will now automatically try to find a replacement for any track you can’t play.
• Years are shown in artist and album views

The two main additions are the new Inbox feature which lets your friends make recommendations which arrive in your inbox and secondly Facebook and Twitter sharing uses the in-app browser rather than Safari making social networking activities a whole lot easier.

All other smartphone users with other Operating Systems such as Symbian and Android have to hang on a bit longer but no confirmed dates have been released as when these Apps will be updated to include the above updates.
