The Samsung Wave is now available to pre-order from Vodafone (Click here pre-order ).

The official shipping date is listed as June 1st, so that’s not a long time to wait if you do pre-order the device.

The Samsung Wave is the first mobile to run on the Samsung Bada operating system and is therefore an important device in Samsungs portfolio. Samsung Bada is an open-source operating system which Samsung hopes will encourage developers to produce applications and games for its mobiles.

The Samsung Wave is a premium device aiming to compete with the very best smartphones.

The Wave is powered by a 1 GHz mobile processor, which enables multi-tasking. It has a 3.3 inch AMOLED touch-screen, 5 mega-pixel camera, 2GB internal memory (an 8GB version also exists), WiFi support and Bluetooth 3.0 capability. It features strong social networking capability and will no doubt prove a hugely popular mobile.
