Yahoo has announced a new strategic partnership with Nokia.
The collaboration aims to combine both companies expertise to provide a better outcome to customers.
As part of the agreement Nokia will become the exclusive provider of Yahoo maps and Navigation services, which will then be powered by Yahoo. They will be integrated with Ovi Maps, which will now be stated as “powered by Yahoo”.
Additionally, a similar outcome will feature with Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat which will now also be “powered by Yahoo”.
Finally, they also aim to make user ID’s compatible between services so you can your Ovi ID to access Yahoo content.
This announcement follows a similar one Yahoo and Samsung came up with last week, so it would seem Yahoo are doing everything they can to compete with Google on mobile phones.
