Apple iPad To Be Sold in Currys And PC World At Launch
![]() |
The Apple iPad will be launching in a frenzy of activity on Friday and it was expected you’d have to go down to the Apple store to pick one up (or order online).
However, it’s been confirmed by the Times that the iPad will also launch in Dixons and Currys stores across the UK.
I guess it’s not that surprised because Apple only has 27 stores across the UK, which wouldn’t have been enough outlets to be convenient for consumers. When you add the 140 stores owned by Currys and PC world the situation looks far rosier.
It’s been reported, again by the Times that Currys and PC World will have a 40 day exclusivity period outside Apple stores to sell the iPad.
