Above from left shows Tomi T Ahonen and James Parton the course presenters. Europe UK : The University of Oxford’s CPD Centre presents a new course in 3G Mobile TV following the Oxford Mobile TV trial which revealed strong consumer demands for broadcast TV to mobiles. This is an intensive one-day course for TV broadcasting and mobile telecoms programming, content and services experts, and business planners in the emerging space on the "fourth screen" and the "seventh mass media". Non-technical in nature with no prior knowledge of cellular telecoms or TV broadcasting required, this course offers an insight into mobile broadcasting for those who want to enter this new market and meet consumer demand for ‘personal TV’. The course will cover mobile TV as well as other multi-media services including live streaming, music video, gaming, and interactive services. This course is lead by two of the foremost experts in the field of 3G: James Parton, who was involved in the Oxford 3G/DVB-H Mobile TV trial, and Tomi Ahonen, one of the world's leading 3G Independent Consultants and author of many authoritative books on the subject of 3G. They will explore the mobile video and TV environment, migration and integration of content to mobile, made-for-mobile TV content, and impact to the TV, mobile and advertising industries. To better illustrate these topics, real-life case studies will be used as examples. This 3G/DVB-H Mobile TV course takes place in Oxford on 19th June and is one of ten Telecoms courses offered this summer at the CPD Centre. |
