3D Games for 3's 3G Network

10th May , 2004

Above shows a screendump from the newly released 3D game "Lock´n Load".

Europe : 3, the mobile video communications company has joined forces with Synergenix Interactive AB, providers of the mophun™ gaming solution and a leading mobile games publisher. 3 will offer their customers the ability to play advanced 3D multiplayer games over the 3G network as well as the opportunity to download the mophun gaming accelerator and great games directly to the mobile phone.

Through the partnership with Synergenix, 3 will provide Symbian OS mobile phone users with direct access to a growing supply of great mophun games. Today, games such as 3D Rally Pro Contest, Ice Blocks, and Captain Lunar are available and more games will follow in the future.

Also, as the first operator in Sweden, 3 provides a real-time multiplayer gaming experience over the 3G network. Through a multiplayer solution from Terraplay Systems, users of Synergenix’s Rally Pro Contest are able to compete against other players online via their mobile phones. 3 is planning to make more multiplayer games available in a near future.

“The partnership with 3 is a milestone for Synergenix and our first 3G experience. It’s comforting to see the possibilities 3G gives us”, says Martin Forsling, CEO at Synergenix Interactive. “3 will have access to our growing portfolio of high quality mophun games and will be able to provide a constant flow of new content”.

"The combination of Mophun 3D games and multiplayer is a real differentiator which shows the full potential in our fast network and advanced mobiles" says Rikard Ljungman, Commercial Manager for Games at 3.
