3 and Cnbc 3G Hook-Up

Europe : It has started some days ago the cooperation between 3, the Mobile Video Company of the Hutchison Whampoa Group, and Cfn/Cnbc, the global digital television in italian economic-financial oriented of Class Editori, that allows the Cfn/Cnbc’s correspondents to connect themselves in video direct with the tv studios using the UMTS mobile of 3.

The technological solution conceived by Cfn/Cnbc and 3 integrates efficiently the traditional instruments of video journalism with the 3rd generation of video mobile communication enabling, by the connection of the journalists with the TV studio, the chronicle of the events from the places where boards of Directors, press conferences and the meetings of the most important economical and financial companies of the italian market take place

The first 3 report broadcasted by direct video on the videophone by Cfn/Cnbc with the 3 videophone, last March 24th, concerned the presentation of Mediaset 2003 balance sheet results, the meeting between Seat management and the financial analysts and the summit on the crisis of the italian football held in Milan on March 29th, 2004.

From a technological point of view, the solution set up by 3 e Cfn/Cnbc fa has its strength in its simplicity: this makes it easily available for all the world of electronic media video-based, including the web portal.
