Sony Xperia M gets Android Jelly Bean (4.3) update
The update began rolling out yesterday and is already available across Europe and Asia. As always those with unlocked versions of the Sony Xperia M will get the update first, while those with operator-branded handsets will have to wait that bit longer.
Users should receive notifications of the updates availability automatically. But can also check for the update manually in Settings > About phone > Build number / version, or using Sony's PC Companion software on a desktop or Mac.
Android 4.3 brings a host of improvements to the Sony Xperia M including:
- Smooth UI and graphics enhancements
- Improved version of 'Battery Stamina Mode'
- Update camera interface including 'Burst Mode', 'Superior Auto' & more
- Security enhancements

Android 4.3 is a a great addition to the Sony Xperia M, but Android KitKat (4.4) has already replaced it. So far Sony havn't commented on whether the Xperia M will get KitKat, but we don't see a reason why it shouldn't.

Last month Sony rolled out Android 4.3 for the Sony Xperia SP, Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V. They also recently released Android KitKat for the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia Z Ultra.
