Samsung have begun rolling out Android KitKat (4.4) for the Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 in the UK.

The update to the latest version of Android is now being rolled out to unlocked versions of Samsung's smartphone. While, those with operator-branded versions should get the update in the next couple of weeks.

Google's chocolate-themed operating systems brings a host of new features and improvements to the Android platform. They include better performance, improved Google Now voice-control, a new Immersive mode and a host of aesthetic improvements.

A number of devices have seen their battery life reduced since updating to Android KitKat, due to a problem affecting the camera application. Google have already acknowledged the issue, but until it's released you should avoid leaving the camera app (or Skype) running in the background.

Have you installed the Android KitKat update on your Galaxy Note 3 or Galaxy S4? Leave a comment below documenting your experience so far.
