Nokia Lumia 530 to replace the aging Lumia 520

A new Nokia windows smartphone seems to be on the cards called the Nokia 530 aka “Rock”.

The Nokia Lumia 530 leak came via well respected tipster, EVLeaks, who tweated "Nokia Rock = Lumia 530".

The Nokia Lumia 530 would logically be the successor to the Lumia 520, the best selling windows phone ever. The Lumia 520 sales accounts for nearly 31% of all Windows phone sales, so a lot would depend on its successor with regard to continuing the 520's great sales.

The aging Lumia 520 was launched over 12 months ago so a replacement is definitely needed. No specification details were released by EVLeaks.

However, we like to see the Lumia 530 come pre-loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 plus a display and performance boost. So a slightly larger display at around 4.3 inches (was 4 inches) and a more powerful dual core processor running at 1.5GHz (was 1GHz) and double the RAM at 1GB (was 512MB).

We expect to hear something more formal in the next 2 to 6 weeks.
