EE introduce new low price 4G plans and the budget EE Kestrel smartphone

EE have introduced a new range of affordable 4G plans which start at just £13.99. Additionally, they have also begun selling their own branded smartphone called the EE Kestrel, which is available free on the new plans or for just £99.99 on Pay As You Go.

The range of new affordable 4G plans on EE start at £13.99 a month which gets you 500 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB of data. Those looking for more inclusive data can boost their monthly allowance to 1GB by paying £19 a month.


They've also introduced a couple of new 4G Extra plans, which get you double-speed 4GEE offering even faster browsing on the move. For £21.99 a month you can get 1,000 minutes, unlimited texts and 2GB of data and you can double the inclusive data to 4GB by paying £26.99.


On all the new plans you can get the new EE Kestral smartphone for free, or a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, BlackBerry Q5 or Nokia Lumia 625 by paying £19.99 upfront.



EE Kestrel Smartphone

The EE Kestrel smartphone is made by Huawei that has a 4.5-inch touchscreen running at a qHD resolution (960*540 pixels). It comes pre-loaded with Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor backed up by 1GB of RAM.


Onboard storage comes in at 8GB (with microSD support), while it has a 2000mAH battery, a 5 mega-pixel camera and an FM radio. It supports double-speed 4GEE and is available free on contracts starting at £13.99 a month or just £99.99 on Pay As You Go.
