Sony Xperia Z Goes Swimming With Irish Beauty

The Sony Xperia Z has been receiving a huge amount of attention in the media since it launched earlier this month.  One of the features of the Xperia Z attracting the most attention has been its resistance to water.

Now a video, posted below,  has been released showcasing the Sony Xperia Z’s IP57 water-proof certification by taking it into the pool for a splash around.

The video, which is pretty easy on the eye, features Irish synchronised swimmer Daniella Moyles. We’re not claiming to have any idea who she was before this video surfaced, but it’s certainly got us more interested in synchronised swimming.

We’ve got a word of caution for those planning to take their Xperia Z down their local pool. Even though the smartphone is waterproof for up to 30 minutes at depths up to 1 metre you can’t actually use it underwater, so don’t try or you’ll break the smartphone’s display.

We’ve fallen in love with the Sony Xperia Z at 3G and we think it’s the best smartphone on the planet right now. We recently compared it to Apple’s iPhone 5, Samsung’s Galaxy S3 and HTC’s One and we declared it victorious in every one of those battles.

The smartphone is available to buy on some amazing deals on Three with prices starting at just £34 a month. That gets you 500 minutes, 5,000 texts and unlimited Ultrafast data, while for another £2 a month you can take advantage of Three’s “One Plan”.
