Samsung will unveil the Samsung Galaxy S4 a week today with the whole world waiting patiently for the launch of the most anticipated smartphone in the world. Samsung's smartphone aims to build on the success of the Galaxy S3 with sales predicted to hit 100 million.
Over the last couple of months we've reported on numerous rumours about the Galaxy S4. However, fresh rumours have surfaced giving us new information about Samsung's flagship smartphone. So what have we learnt ?
Samsung Galaxy S4 - Smart-Scroll & Smart-Pause
Yesterday we reported on rumours suggesting that Samsung's Galaxy S4 smartphone would incorporate "Eye-Scrolling" technology. Today, we've got new information confirmed that the smartphone will indeed support "Eye-Scrolling".
A new leaked screenshot, posted below, confirms the existence of the feature branded "Smart Scroll" . Smart Scroll automatically scrolls to where you are looking at the smartphones display by using the Galaxy S4's front-facing camera to track where a user is looking.

Eagle-eyed viewers will have already spotted "Smart Pause" which uses the same Eye-tracking technology to pause a video when a user looks away from a screen. This is a great idea and we wonder whether something similar will be used to automatically dim the Galaxy S4's display to improve battery-life.
Samsung Galaxy S4 - To Be Made From Polycarbonate (Plastic)
One widespread criticism of Samsung's Galaxy S3 was that the polycarbonate (plastic) exterior made the smartphone feel cheap and didn't give it the premium feel you associate with Apple's iPhone. Therefore , we expected that the Galaxy S4 would be made from aluminium or even glass.
However, it looks as though the Galaxy S4 will retain the plastic design of its predecessor. Before you cry out in disgust Samsung have explained their decision and to be fair they have valid reasons for using polycarbonate.
The main reason for using plastic is that it'll enable Samsung to produce enough smartphones to meet demand. Using other materials makes the manufacturing process slower and more complex , which would apparently leak to stock shortages.
Additionally, Samsung are claiming that plastic is more durable than a metal or glass exterior because it bends and flexes on impact. While, the Galaxy S4 will be lighter if made from plastic.
3G will bring you more news about the Samsung Galaxy S4 when the smartphone is unveiled on March 14th. We can't wait to find out what treats Samsung has in-store !
