HTC launched its flagship HTC One last week whilst at the same time it won “Best New Mobile” at MWC in Barcelona. The HTC One was one of the main crowd pullers at MWC and in particular its new HTC Sense 5.0 User Interface grabbed a lot of attention.
HTC users owning the older HTC One models have so far felt left out, but now these users can rejoice as news breaks that owners of the One X+, One X and the One S will also be getting HTC Sense 5.0. The news breaks via Android Police who spotted it on a Twitter feed. Owners of the older HTC’s will be receiving their HTC Sense 5.0 update in the future, exactly when though is not clear.
Of course, the HTC One X, HTC One X+ and the One S were launched running HTC Sense and Android 4.0 ( Ice cream ) so we imagine these owners can’t wait to be updated. Some users may still actually be using HTC Sense 3.6 it all depends on when they bought their handsets.
HTC Sense 5.0 brings additional features above Sense 4.0 and it seems unclear which of the new features older HTC users will get once they upgrade. The most wanted features are likely to be BlinkFeed, the re-designed widgets and icons and the introduction of ZOE photos
3G will monitor the position and post more here. Meanwhile, if you’d like to check out our HTC One review we will be posting it soon.
