The HTC One is a much anticipated smartphone that won’t arrive in the shops as soon as we thought. Previously, we heard that the HTC One would be ready to buy in store on 15th March. It now appears this has shifted to 29th March.
HTC One - Why the delay ?
It should be noted that HTC has never officially released an on-sale date, with the earlier on-sale date and the revised on-sale date both coming via retailer Clove. Clove has today confirmed via its Blog that HTC has officially confirmed the on-sale date above.
We are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the HTC One and looked at the HTC’s One breakthrough design and the features of HTC Blinkfeed in the last few days and this has wetted our appetite for more.
We don’t see a problem with the HTC One’s availability slipping 14 days under normal circumstances but the problem for HTC is that over 2 weeks sales may be lost - as the Samsung Galaxy S4 arrives on the 14th March. Another possible reason for the delay of the HTC One could be that HTC thought it was better to launch the HTC sometime after the Galaxy S4, to avoid a direct clash.
We compared the HTC One v Sony Xperia Z and concluded these were the two best smartphones currently on the market.
HTC One review coming soon
3G are looking to carry out a review of both the HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4 at the earliest opportunity and shortly after we will do a comparison of the HTC One versus Samsung Galaxy S4 to see which is the better all round smartphone.
More from 3G soon.
