HTC are expected to launch the HTC Myst shortly , which is a Facebook smartphone designed from the ground-up for the world's most popular social network.
Over the last year rumours have kept cropping up that HTC have been working with Facebook to produce a Facebook Smartphone. Fresh rumours have surfaced suggesting that HTC will launch the HTC Myst in the next couple of months.
The HTC Myst is the same smartphone that we previously reported on code-named the HTC Opera. However, we now have even more information about the social mobile including detailed information of its specification.
HTC Myst - Mid-Range Facebook Phone
The HTC Myst is rumoured to have a 4.3 inch touch-screen which will run at a resolution of 1280*720 pixels. This gives the smartphone a PPI of 320 which will provide amazing clarity when browsing Facebook.
The smartphone is rumoured to have a 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor which will be complemented by 1GB of RAM. The HTC Myst will have 16GB of on-board memory and a 5 mega-pixel camera for uploading snaps to Facebook, while it'll also have a 1.3 mega-pixel front-facing camera.
HTC's smartphone will come pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean (4.1.2) and will support 4G LTE opening up the possibility for super-fast social networking. The HTC Myst is expected to launch in the middle of 2013 !
HTC Myst - Unique Facebook Features
The HTC Myst looks sure to include some unique Facebook features which will probably be integrated in a custom version of HTC's Sense interface. Facebook will be deeply integrated across the whole smartphone so your always in-touch with the social network.
Additionally, we expect it to come pre-loaded with the Facebook App, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. We're hopeful that by the time the HTC Myst hits the market it'll be possible to make free video calls using the Facebook Messenger application.
We're intrigued to find out what unique Facebook features will be included on HTC's smartphone. We've got high hopes for the HTC Myst and we'll keep you updated on any new developments as they leak !
