BlackBerry has reported that it sold one million BlackBerry Z10’s to a single customer in a single day.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 was announced just a few days before this massive order was awarded to BlackBerry. To take such an order when the whole world had its eyes on the launch of the S4 must be particularly satisfying for Blackberry in more ways than one.
The 1,000,000 BlackBerry Z10 sales came from an unknown source last week, when Blackberry told Fox News, that it had landed the largest single order in a single day in the company’s history. The order was believed to have come from a US company. We wonder what it feels like to take a single order for one million of your smartphones in a single day.
3G carried out its BlackBerry Z10 review back in February this year when our reviewer concluded “The BlackBerry Z10 is a decent phone for leisure and business with a smart operating system, great virtual keyboard and sharp display”. Based on the findings of our review we can easily see why a company would place a large order, but an order of one million has surprised us.
Another thought we had was that we recently pitted the Apple iPhone 5 v Blackberry Z10 and found the iPhone 5 to slightly out battle the Z10. You can read our Apple iPhone 5 v Blackberry Z10 article here.
We feel the large order for the Z10 may well have come from an existing BlackBerry retailer or operator who has a large customer base which is largely Blackberry orientated.
Once 3G hear more we will post it as soon as we get it. You can see more articles about the BlackBerry Z10 here.
