Nokia Gets 1 Billion US Dollars for Windows Phone Venture

The new joint venture between Nokia and Microsoft, which sees Windows Phone coming to the majority of future Nokia phones, has been expanded to reveal that Nokia will receive 1 billion US dollars from Microsoft.
Bloomberg broke the news and say that the funding will be used to aid Nokia's marketing and design costs for the new venture. Nokia still has to pay Microsoft a royalty fee for each Windows Phone OS within a phone.
