Nokia Already Begun Making Windows Smartphones
![]() |
Nokia have already begun making Windows-based smartphones in response to their new partnership which was announced last month.
In an interview with ReutersNokia CEO Stephen Elop unveiled that the phones are already in production. He also commented on a number of other issues including denying the possibility that Microsoft is going to buy Nokia.
He also commented that Nokia considered teaming up with Google, but though it would be hard to differentiate themselves from the huge amount of Android smartphones available.
Nokia are very keen to make strides into the smartphone arena, where they have lost ground over recent time. They tried previously to enter the market with the Symbian^4 operating system, but they have had limited success.
Nokia and Microsoft hope to gain a substantial share in the smartphone market with their new partnership and with the marketing power and revenue behind the companies it’s highly possible they can achieve their goals.
