webOS 1.4 released for Palm Pre

Palm promised that webOS 1.4 would launch in February and they’ve managed to meet their target but only just.
The update was rolled out onto the Palm Pre in the UK on the evening of the 26th February.
webOS 1.4 brings multiple improvements to Palm mobiles with the flagship improvement being video capture capability. You can also “shorten” clips just like on the iPhone , as well as sharing your videos with friends via SMS or upload them to Youtube straight from your mobile.
Another addition webOS 1.4 provides is Adobe Flash support with Adobe Flash 10.1 Beta support, meaning you can play flash games and view flash content on your Palm Pre. However, the application has yet to be made available by Adone but we’re sure it won’t be long before its ready.
webOS 1.4 also brings general improvements in performance and increased battery life which is always a good thing. Additionally, it has been noted that Need For Speed UnderGround, Monopoly and Sims 3 have appeared free to download from the app store, which is quite a gesture.
Overall, it’s a great update from Palm and will no doubt please all the Palm Pre owners in the UK.
