By Miles J Thomas on 11th March, 2010 under Samsung Galaxy, Samsung Galaxy Portal
The Samsung Galaxy Portal is being launched with 3G Operator 3 UK in the near future and comes with the latest version of Google Android ( 2.1. ) called Éclair. The Samsung Galaxy Portal ( Samsung Galaxy i7500 ) comes with 3G HSDPA, 3 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, TFT capacitive touchscreen, 180 megabytes on board memory and up to 2O gigabytes via MicroSD card.
The main benefits that the user will notice when using this latest version of Google Android is that the User Interface is more user friendly, nicer looking and much faster. Mail Exchange and Facebook are now built into Éclair without the need to download them.
Brendan from 3 handsets shows us more about the Samsung Galaxy Portal in the demo above. Brendan explains that he likes to customise his Samsung Galaxy Portal and in particular shows us how he has done this.
Samsung has also been busy and updated its User Interface which means that you can now add up to 10 home screens and we see how easy it is to add a home screen to the Samsung Galaxy Portal.
Brendan also shows us how Google Buzz ( which is included in Google Android 2.1. – Éclair ) works. The Samsung Galaxy Portal will be available in Black / Red or Green / White.
